IDAHO DRUG FREE YOUTH CONTRIBUTIONS QUALIFY FOR STATE TAX CREDIT

IDFY’s 501(c) (3) status has always entitled donors to claim a deduction for those contributions on their federal and state tax return. Now donations to IDFY qualify for an additional Idaho tax credit directly reducing a donor’s tax liability. The Idaho tax credit is 50% of qualified contributions, up to a maximum contribution of $400 for a couple filing jointly ($200 on a single return). The tax credit cannot exceed 20% of the donor’s Idaho income tax liability. Corporations may also take a 50% credit for contributions up to $1,000, but cannot exceed 10% of their Idaho income tax liability. Please consult with your tax advisor for information concerning your situation.
