WHAT IS THE IDAHO YOUTH SUMMIT?
A 4-day, youth-led, conference for teens. The Idaho Youth Summit challenges Idaho teens to embrace a healthy lifestyle and become leaders who actively seek to positively impact their schools, communities, and all of Idaho. Youth and Adult Participants engage in interactive workshops, are inspired by motivational speakers, and participate in a variety of positive teen-led activities.
This year's theme, GOING PLACES, is about taking healthy risks, without drugs or alcohol. Teens can really go places when we keep our sights on the right things—things like making good decisions, surrounding ourselves with the right people, seeking wisdom, having the right fuel, and a good plan. Join us for a week of advancement in teen leaders, discovery of the unknown, and an adventure that won’t soon be forgotten.
Youth who are finishing grades 7-12 are invited to attend the Idaho Youth Summit as participants and do not have to be members of Idaho Drug Free Youth to attend. Youth who have previously attended the Idaho Youth Summit and who are finishing grades 10-12 may apply to serve as Youth Staff during the conference week.
Adults (18+) are invited to attend as Adult Participants with a group of students from their school or community. Every school group is required to have an adult for each group of students. Adults who would like to volunteer as staff have the opportunity to apply for the i-Team (Ages 18-20) or Adult Staff (Ages 21 and up).
